Collector Condition 1989/90 Rolex Oyster Submariner 5513 Full Set Investment Watch. The Rolex Oyster Submariner was launched in 1953 and is probably the most sought after Rolex ever made. Worn by everyone from Robert Redford to Steve McQueen, Sean Connery to Jacques Cousteau. There is currently a 4 to 6 year waiting list for the latest model. The solid steel case is in good condition with small signs of wear and minor pitting at the top of the lugs as it attaches to the bezel. We believe the dial is original (we guarantee its genuine Rolex) and the baton lume has aged to a lovely creamy colour (we always use natural light when photographing and any marks or shadows on the dial are reflections).

The watch was serviced by Rolex in 2008 and we believe they replaced the hands weve had them colour matched to lume dots on the dial (we believe the bezel insert was also replaced at this time). The Rolex bracelet is again in very good condition with small signs of surface scratching and is correct for the period (93150 & 580 end pieces and 93150 on the deployment). Very rarely we have the following provenance. The original Rolex guarantee showing the date of sale as June 1990.

The Rolex service record dated 2008. To find a late 5513 in this condition is extremely rare and with this level provenance a genuine find. Submariners have shown some of the highest increases in terms of investment and to ones that are untouched with full history have shown the highest of them all (clearly we cant guarantee future growth). Were based in Berkshire and Nottingham and spend 1- 2 days a week in London.

Whilst were an Internet business we do show 90% of our watches prior to sale and travel across England to meet prospective buyers. This is a highly collectable watch from one of horologys most famous names and will, if history is any judge, provide an excellent financial investment as well as a possession to treasure and enjoy.
