Eterna Tangaroa Full Calendar Swiss-made Valjoux 7751 Automatic Chronograph

  

For sale is a beautiful Eterna Tangaroa full calendar (day, date, month, moon-phase) automatic chronograph from my personal collection. The finely finished steel bracelet is currently sized for my 7'25 inch wrist and comes with all the spare links (see pictures). For one, it comes from one of the better known names in the industry. Eterna is an old brand (that used to own ETA) with a lot of history tied to its name like the Kontiki range of sports watches. Furthermore, this watch houses a beautifully decorated example (blued screws, custom rotor, perlage on main plate and bridges) of one of the premier movements that you can find in a Swiss watch that does not cost as much as a new car--the Valjoux 7751.

This is a high-beat mechanical. Chronograph based on the tried and tested 7750. That also has a full calendar and a 24-hour indicator; the movement also hacks (stop second), can be manually wound and has a 44 hour power reserve. Here's how to read the dials. At 12 o'clock: Chronograph minute counter; day and month. At 6 o'clock: Moon phase for both Northern and Southern hemisphere; chronograph hour counter. At 9 o' clock: Running small seconds; 24-hour indicator. The watch has a very distinctive look, with its matte grey dial, stainless steel case, and blued hands. The crystal is scratch-resistant sapphire. The watch is in excellent cosmetic condition, with a scratch-free case and crystal. Please see the attached pictures. The watch is currently on a older, blue, genuine crocodile strap that I had laying around, that I thought perfectly matched the blue accents on the dial.
